HB 2682 – Medicaid Waiver KABC Testimony

The state of Kansas plans to submit to the federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) a request to allow Kansas to place all Medicaid waivers into a “universal waiver”.

Yesterday KABC shared concerns about the proposed waiver changes and elders access to KanCare Medicaid services and the quality of those services during testimony in the KS House Health Committee. KABC supports HB 2682 which requires legislative action prior to the state agencies making such dramatic changes to the state’s $3 billion Medicaid/KanCare program.
